A New Era is the first full album by an Italian prog metal band called Lost Dimension Project. Lost Dimension is a progressive metal project started by Domenico Cinalli and Gianmarco Borgia in 2012. They meld metal with progressive rock, drawing influences from contemporary bands like Dream Theater, Symphony X, Haken, Animals as Leaders and Tool as well as “old school” icons Pink Floyd and Queen. This album is a metal/rock opera about the search of truth and the struggle of finding meaning in consciousness.
